LABFARVE is a magistral (compounding) pharmacy at Carrera 111 # 159A-61 in northwest Bogotá, part of Grupo Social Corpas. It says it has held INVIMA certification in Good Elaboration Practices since April 2021, which lets it prepare non-sterile cannabis-derived formulas such as oily solutions and ointments.

In Colombia that is the main legal route to THC-containing medicine: a physician prescribes a specific formula and dose, and a certified pharmacy registered with the national narcotics fund compounds it. Patients or doctors send the prescription through the website's contact form, and administrative hours are Monday to Thursday 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Friday until 4:30 p.m.

How a magistral preparation differs from a registered product

RouteTHCWhere you get it
Registered medicines (Decree 677 of 1995)As registeredOrdinary pharmacy, prescription
Phytotherapeutic products (Decree 2266 of 2004)Below 1%Pharmacy
Magistral preparations (Decree 2200 of 2005)Per prescriptionCertified compounding pharmacy
Dried flower (Decree 1138 of 2025)Per productAuthorized pharmacies once technical rules apply

Under Decree 1138, compounded preparations may use only Colombian-grown cannabis from licensed growers, with no imported derivatives. The technical regulation for medical flower, due about March 2026, was still described as pending in a May 2026 bulletin, so a compounded oil remains the practical option for many patients.

Check the label for THC and CBD content and ask for the batch analysis if it is missing. Resolution 2808 of 2022 lists the indications the health system covers. A shop or website that sells THC oil without a prescription and pharmacy licence is outside the system. See what patients can buy and who licenses what.

Questions about this list

Do I need a prescription for a compounded cannabis oil in Colombia?

Yes. A physician must prescribe the specific formula, dose and cannabinoid concentrations, and a certified compounding pharmacy prepares it. LABFARVE requires a valid medical prescription, sent through its website's contact form.

What does INVIMA certification mean for a compounding pharmacy?

INVIMA, the national food and drug agency, certifies a compounding pharmacy's good elaboration practices, according to the medical cannabis rules summarized by Verdex. Without it a pharmacy cannot prepare cannabis magistral formulas.

Can I get dried medical flower at a Colombian pharmacy?

Flower became a prescription medical product under Decree 1138 (October 27, 2025). Its technical rules were still pending in May 2026, so expect registered medicines, CBD products and compounded oils first.

Buying in Colombia

  • Possession

Personal dose of up to 20 g of marijuana or 5 g of hashish (Law 30 of 1986); courts weigh intent to consume. Selling is a crime.

  • Home grow

Personal self-cultivation is outside the licensing regime if nothing is supplied to others (Decree 1138 of 2025); the commonly cited ceiling is 20 plants.

  • Public use

Regulated locally; cities such as Bogotá and Medellín restrict use near schools, parks and similar places.

  • Police seizure

Decree 2114 of 2023 repealed Decree 1844 of 2018, which had allowed police to confiscate personal doses, according to legal summaries.

Summary, not legal advice — rules change; check local law.
