Since June 26, 2025 a Thai cannabis shop may sell flower only against a PT33 prescription, covering at most 30 days, issued by an authorized practitioner on the premises. Buyers must be 20 or older, and foreigners show a passport. Verdex lists 26 dispensaries: Bangkok 10, Phuket 7, Pattaya 4, Chiang Mai 3 and Koh Samui 2.
None is marked verified, because a licence on the wall no longer proves that a given sale is lawful. The list runs from CANABANGKA, a Ramkhamhaeng grower with a farm dispensary, to the five-shop beach chain EXTIX in Phuket; Cloud Nine on Sukhumvit says practitioners issue prescriptions in the shop.

How inspectors grade a shop
On June 22, 2026 the Department of Thai Traditional and Alternative Medicine (DTAM) published fixed penalties, according to the Nation. They tell a buyer which shortcuts to treat as warnings.
| Penalty | Breaches |
|---|---|
| 30-day suspension | Missing sales reports; flower not from a GACP farm; licence not displayed; advertising |
| 90-day suspension | Selling without a qualified practitioner's prescription |
| Revocation | Online or vending-machine sales; smoking allowed on the premises; sales to under-20s, students, pregnant or breastfeeding women |
Several profiles on this page mention cafés, seating or smoking gardens, which are the shops' own descriptions; allowing smoking on the premises is now a ground for revocation. Check any shop on DTAM's MC-GIS map (cannabis-gis.dtam.moph.go.th). DTAM counted 11,386 outlets operating legally in April 2026, and Phuket alone had 1,065 licensed shops on August 28 after 35 revocations and 112 suspensions, the Thaiger reported.
A draft Cannabis Control Bill, approved by the cabinet on September 22, 2026, would keep cannabis medical-only but is not yet law. See the Bangkok shop checklist, the penalty schedule and Phuket's crackdown.
Questions about this list
Can tourists buy cannabis flower in Thailand in 2026?
Only with a PT33 prescription issued in Thailand by an authorized practitioner, for no more than 30 days. Foreigners identify themselves with a passport, and a prescription from your home country does not count, according to law-firm and press summaries of the June 2025 rule.
How can I check whether a Thai cannabis shop is licensed?
Search the shop's area on DTAM's Medical Cannabis GIS map and match the licence displayed at the counter. A compliant shop also has a practitioner physically present and gives you a filled-in PT33 form.
What is the penalty for smoking cannabis in public in Thailand?
Under the Public Health Act, causing a nuisance with cannabis smoke or smell can cost up to 25,000 baht or up to three months in jail. A prescription does not change that.
