Massachusetts delivery licences are reserved for social-equity owners until at least April 1, 2029. The Cannabis Control Commission's March 2026 bulletin says only businesses majority-owned by Social Equity Program participants or Certified Economic Empowerment Priority Applicants may hold Delivery Operator, Courier or delivery-endorsed Microbusiness licences. Chapter 65 of the Acts of 2026 authorizes delivery statewide unless a municipality obtains a Commission waiver.
Verdex lists 32 services. Dris delivers same day to Boston and MetroWest from Natick, and Zyp Run, a social-equity operator on Morrissey Boulevard, covers Boston and Cambridge. Delivery orders follow the same caps as the stores: 2 ounces of flower or its equivalent, one order per consumer per delivery.

A Delivery Operator buys and warehouses product for its own deliveries, while a Courier carries products from licensed stores. The register puts the licences, with numbers such as MD1324 for Bada Vroom in Tyngsborough, across the state: Boston (4 in our listings), Northampton (3), Newton and Leicester (2 each), Lowell, Wareham, Clinton and Tyngsborough. That spread hides a limit, since a service can only deliver where the town allows it.
- Waivers: as of July 15, 2026 the Commission had certified 13 municipal delivery waivers, two of them one-year bans. A ban may not exceed two years and needs Commission approval to renew.
- Who cannot opt out: cities and towns that already host a marijuana retail establishment may not request a waiver.
- Tax: the same 10.75% excise, 6.25% sales tax and up to 3% local tax as in stores.
- Check first: find the licence number in the Commission's open data before you order, and treat a menu on Instagram or Telegram with a cash drop as a red flag.
Because the Commission is reviewing its regulations, including whether towns can opt out of delivery, and voters decide Question 8 on November 3, the picture may shift. Store-based shopping is on our Massachusetts dispensaries page. Our guide to legal and illegal delivery ranks the warning signs.
