For production, only under licence. For use, the national personal dose is 20 grams under Constitutional Court ruling C-221 of 1994, but Decree 147 of 22 January 2024 bans carrying and use, dose included, in public places frequented by children. Police controls target schools, beaches and recreation areas, according to Infobae and Semana. The decree was signed at the Institución Educativa Distrital Jhon F. Kennedy, Infobae reported.

Who grows near Santa Marta?

Avicanna's two Santa Marta subsidiaries, Santa Marta Golden Hemp and Sativa Nativa, are licensed for cultivation, processing and sales. The company reports 300,000 square feet of cultivation infrastructure and 26,000 kg of annual capacity. Verdex lists Aureus Santa Marta as its raw-material arm.
