The group also refers to USDA organic certification and to a sustainability ranking from S&P Global. The Colombian unit is a raw-material supplier; Avicanna's own branded products and research activity are based mainly in Canada.
There is one governance point worth knowing. The Ontario Securities Commission issued Avicanna a management cease trade order on 4 April 2025 while annual filings were late, and the company announced on 16 April 2025 that the order had been revoked after it filed. In September 2026 Avicanna's website still displayed a banner about a management cease trade order, so readers should check the company's latest filings for current status.
Consumers in Colombia do not buy from Aureus directly. As with other producers, finished cannabis medicines reach patients through prescriptions and licensed pharmacies.
