On March 18, 2026 Zurich's city council voted 101 to 13 to extend the Züri Can cannabis pilot to October 2028 and add CHF 800,000, bringing its budget to CHF 2.76 million, according to Business of Cannabis. The trial has run since August 2023, and by March 2026 it had recorded about 106,000 sales, roughly 902 kilograms of cannabis.

Verdex lists 21 sales points: ten pharmacies, nine social clubs and the city's Drug Information Centre. Only enrolled participants can buy. There is no walk-in retail, and nothing here is sold to tourists.

The 21 points sit across the city. Heidi's Garden is on Niederdorfstrasse in the Old Town; Apotheke zum Meierhof is on Limmattalstrasse in Höngg; DSC Didis Social Club is on Hardturmstrasse in Kreis 5; Apotheke zum Kreuzplatz is at Kreuzplatz 1; Hanfstübli is on Aargauerstrasse, and the DIZ is on Wasserwerkstrasse.
