Coffeeshop Central is right across from Amsterdam Centraal, at Prins Hendrikkade 89. Its website says it first opened in 1987 and is open from 07:00 to 01:00, 365 days a year, which makes it one of the easiest shops to reach straight off a train.
Reviewers stress two practical points. First, the shop is small and has very little seating. Second, you cannot smoke inside, so most customers take their purchase away. Nearby Damrak and Nieuwmarkt are among Amsterdam's public no-smoking zones for cannabis, so check where you are allowed to light up. Buying follows the standard rules: 18+ with ID, maximum 5 grams, tourists served.

For a first stop off the train it is convenient; for a long session, one of the lounge shops a few minutes' walk into the centre suits better.
