    About Cannabis Store Vienna

Cannabis Store Vienna at Matzleinsdorfer Platz (1050), an MVG-licensed hemp shop allowed to sell CBD flowers until 2028.

Cannabis Store Vienna is the trading name under which M.D.M. Warenhandels GmbH appears on the Monopolverwaltung's list of licensed hemp shops (June 18, 2026), at Matzleinsdorfer Platz 3 in Margareten (1050). Despite the name, it is not a THC cannabis store: nothing in Austria may legally sell cannabis above 0.3% THC. What the licence covers is smokable hemp flowers within that limit.

The licence system dates from the Abgabenänderungsgesetz 2025. It allowed CBD shops that were trading mainly in legal hemp flowers on January 10, 2025 to continue until December 31, 2028, provided they buy from licensed wholesalers and sell at prices those wholesalers set. After that date, the Trafik is due to be the only counter for smokable hemp.

Verdex could not verify a website or opening hours. Matzleinsdorfer Platz is a tram and S-Bahn hub on the Gürtel, which makes this one of the easier licensed shops to reach from the south of the city.
