About this topic

How does a patient actually get cannabis on prescription, from whom, and at what cost? These guides follow the route country by country: who can prescribe, which products exist, where the pharmacy sits in the chain, and who pays. They describe rules and access rather than treatment, and none of it is medical advice.

The UK guide covers specialist prescribers, private clinic fees and travel. Italy explains why any doctor can prescribe but supply is short and reimbursement depends on the region. Portugal lists the Infarmed-approved products, their prices and why pharmacies run short.

Austria allows dronabinol but not flower. In Israel, ten conditions go through an HMO specialist's prescription since April 2024, while pain and PTSD still need a Yakar license.
