About Grünhorn Apotheke

Leipzig pharmacy specializing in medical cannabis, shipping flower, extracts and capsules across Germany on prescription; no on-site pickup.

Grünhorn Apotheke is a licensed pharmacy in Leipzig that specializes in medical cannabis and ships prescriptions across Germany. Its legal name is Grünhorn – Apotheke im Paunsdorf Center, operated by pharmacist Kirsten Fritsch e.K. at Paunsdorfer Allee 1; the imprint names the Landesdirektion Sachsen as supervisory authority and the Saxon Chamber of Pharmacists as its professional body. The Grünhorn brand has focused on cannabis patients since 2020.

The pharmacy works on prescription only. Patients upload an e-prescription at checkout or post a paper prescription, then choose products from a live stock list. According to the company, the range spans more than 100 flower varieties and about 60 extracts and capsules, including its own full-spectrum extracts. Orders ship by DHL in brown pharmacy glass jars. In September 2026 standard shipping cost €7.99 (free above €99) and express €12.99 (free above €199.99). The site states that pickup at the Leipzig pharmacy is not possible.

Scale is something the group emphasizes: the Grünhorn Group says its pharmacy dispenses roughly four to five tonnes of cannabis a year and handles about one in four medical cannabis prescriptions in Germany. The same group lists the telemedicine service CanDoc among its companies, so the prescribing platform and the pharmacy can belong to one business.

For anyone comparing a cannabis pharmacy in Germany that ships by mail, note that the pending amendment to the Medical Cannabis Act would ban mail-order shipping of flower while still allowing pharmacy courier delivery; as of mid-September 2026 it had not passed.
