About Grashaus Projects
Legal cannabis specialty shops in Allschwil and Liestal for the Basel-Landschaft pilot trial; enrolled residents 18+ only.
Grashaus Projects runs legal cannabis specialty shops in Allschwil and Liestal as part of a pilot trial in the Canton of Basel-Landschaft. The operator is Sanity Group Switzerland AG, and the scientific evaluation is handled by the Swiss Research Institute for Public Health and Addiction (ISGF). The project describes itself as the first fully legal specialty shop for THC products in Europe.
The Allschwil shop on Baslerstrasse opened in December 2023, and a second shop followed on Rheinstrasse in Liestal in February 2024. Both open Monday to Friday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Reports on the Liestal opening described about 70 square meters of sales space.
The range is broader than in most Swiss trials: dried flower, vapes, oral extracts, gummies and accessories. To buy, you must be 18 or older, live in Basel-Landschaft, complete a self-assessment and enroll in the study; data is pseudonymized and not shared with authorities. Enrollment was open in 2026. The project site also announces a location for a separate Aargau pilot, organized with Pure Holding, as coming soon.
For residents looking for a legal cannabis shop near Basel, Grashaus is the option in Basel-Landschaft; people living in Basel-Stadt fall under the closed Weed Care study instead. Prices are not published on the homepage.
