Cannaflos (legal name Cannaflos – Gesellschaft für medizinisches Cannabis mbH) is a pharmaceutical company in Cologne, North Rhine-Westphalia, that develops and supplies medical cannabis for the German market. Founded in 2019, it presents itself as a biopharmaceutical manufacturer and wholesaler whose work runs from plant genetics through manufacturing and clinical research to regulatory affairs.
On its website the company lists three permits: a manufacturing authorization under Section 13 of the German Medicines Act (AMG), a wholesale authorization under Section 52a AMG, and a permit for medical cannabis under Section 4 of the Medical Cannabis Act (MedCanG). It says it holds more than 19 cannabis varieties registered with the EU Community Plant Variety Office and uses these genetics as the basis for pharmaceutical active ingredients. Cannaflos also takes professional orders for Bedrocan products through a dedicated trade section.
Cannaflos does not sell to patients. Pharmacies and other professional customers order its products, and patients receive them only on a doctor's prescription. One 2026 change affects how such products are paid for: the Federal Health Ministry says that since 29 July 2026 cannabis flower can no longer be prescribed at the expense of statutory health insurance, while standardized extracts and dronabinol can still be covered under separate rules. For flower, that generally leaves a private prescription.
