About Ta' Zelli

Ta' Zelli is a Cannabis Harm Reduction Association based in Ħaż-Żebbuġ and licensed by the Authority for the Responsible Use of Cannabis as CHRA 004. It has a place in the history of Malta's model: in October 2023 MaltaToday reported that Ta' Zelli and KDD Society were the first two associations granted operating licences, the step that let them grow cannabis for members under the authority's testing regime.

The association keeps a low profile online, which fits the legal ban on promoting associations and their products. It has no website of its own. An independent club directory lists hours of 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. from Monday to Saturday, closed on Sundays, and notes that five strains and hash were on offer when it was last updated. Since May 2025 associations may produce solventless resin, counted at three grams of flower for every gram.

Joining requires a valid Maltese ID or residence document and a minimum age of 18. Members can receive up to 7 grams a day and 50 grams a month in total. As a non-profit association, Ta' Zelli cannot allow consumption on its premises and does not publish prices.
