About Leaf and Lion
Leaf and Lion: licensed North Long Beach dispensary on Stanley Ave (90805), open 9 AM–9 PM weekdays; 5.0 from 78 Leafly reviews.
Leaf and Lion is a licensed adult-use and medical dispensary at 6978 Stanley Avenue in North Long Beach (90805). It holds California Department of Cannabis Control retail license C10-0000566-LIC and has been on Leafly since November 2018.
The shop calls its staff a "Cannabis Concierge Team". Leafly lists it open 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM Monday to Friday and 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM on weekends, and shows credit and debit cards, an ATM, ADA access and a veteran discount.
With 78 reviews averaging close to 5.0, it has one of the highest scores in Long Beach on Leafly. What reviewers say:
- daily specials and good prices, particularly on pre-rolls;
- budtenders who know their stock, with several named repeatedly;
- a small, tucked-away neighbourhood shop where even security staff are friendly.
The score needs context. Most written reviews date from 2019–2020, and eight of those we could see were posted in February 2020 alone. Two reviews from that period end with the same line saying a named person referred them, which suggests a referral push. Only one review is more recent than 2021 (April 2025, also positive).
Leafly's menu copy has not been updated since January 2022, so call ahead for current stock and deals. Bring ID showing you are 21 or older, or 18+ with a medical recommendation.

How we score sellersReviews of Leaf and Lion
Reviews on Verdex are read by a moderator before they appear. Receipts or order IDs earn the verified mark. Paid or incentivized reviews are removed.
Possible review manipulation
Eight of the Leafly reviews we could read were posted in February 2020, and two from that period end with the same note that a named person referred the reviewer, which points to a referral or review drive. Only one review is newer than 2021. We could not verify whether any incentive was offered. Treat the star ratings for Leaf and Lion on outside platforms with caution. Checked 2026-09.
