Green Leaf Society e.V. is a licensed cultivation association in Berlin's Marzahn-Hellersdorf district and the first club in the city to receive a permit under the Consumer Cannabis Act. The Marzahn-Hellersdorf district office announced the approval on 26 August 2024, noting that the application, filed on 25 July 2024, included a health and youth-protection concept of about 40 pages with measures to spot problematic use early.
At that time Berlin's district offices decided on applications. Since 1 November 2024 the State Office for Health and Social Affairs (LAGeSo) has been the licensing authority for the whole city, while the district office where a club is based remains responsible for supervising it. LAGeSo issued its own first permit, to a club in Treptow-Köpenick, on 30 January 2025.
In January 2025 the association distributed its first harvest, according to Der Tagesspiegel, which reported roughly two kilograms harvested and about 70 members at the time. The club publishes an address on Allee der Kosmonauten; the growing site itself is not disclosed.
The legal framework is the same across Germany: associations must be non-commercial, may have at most 500 members, all adults living in Germany, and may hand out no more than 25 grams a day and 50 grams a month per member, with 30 grams and a 10 percent THC limit for members aged 18 to 20. Consumption on club premises is prohibited.
Green Leaf Society does not sell to the public, and advertising for cultivation associations is banned in Germany; this listing documents its licensed status only.
