About Fotmer Life Sciences
Uruguayan medical cannabis cultivator and extractor (Fotmer S.A.) licensed by IRCCA to 2029; exports flower to Europe and elsewhere.
Fotmer Life Sciences is the trading name of Fotmer S.A., a Uruguayan cultivator and extractor of medical cannabis. IRCCA's register of approved licences lists Fotmer S.A. with a licence to grow psychoactive cannabis for medicinal purposes, built up through resolutions from 2018 onward; the latest listed, Resolución DE 74/2026, runs to March 5, 2029.
Fotmer is export-oriented. Trade press seen in search results reports that it produces under GACP and Uruguayan GMP certification, that its shipments totaled roughly 3,000 kg of flower in one period, making Uruguay a notable exporter of high-THC flower, and that Uruguay-grown medical flower reached German pharmacies for the first time. Montevideo Portal reported its first commercial export of medical cannabis. Its site describes relationships in the United States, the European Union and the Middle East.
Fotmer is not part of the adult-use pharmacy system. Uruguay's psychoactive cannabis sold to residents comes only from the separate adult-use licensees, at IRCCA-set prices, and buyers must be registered citizens or permanent residents. Fotmer's products are aimed at medical markets and licensed importers abroad, where local prescription rules apply. It has no retail outlet and no consumer reviews we could read.
