About Clever Leaves

Colombian licensed producer of pharmaceutical-grade cannabis flower and extracts, with cultivation in Pesca (Boyacá) and a GMP plant in Tocancipá.

Clever Leaves is a Colombian medical cannabis producer that grows in Pesca, Boyacá, and processes extracts at an industrial park in Tocancipá, Cundinamarca, through its operating company Ecomedics S.A.S. It sells to pharmaceutical and distribution partners abroad rather than to individual consumers, so patients usually meet its products under a partner's label.

According to the company, its Colombian operation covers about 1.8 million square feet of cultivation and an extraction plant that can process roughly 104,400 kg of dried flower a year, and it says it has shipped cannabis products to more than 15 countries. Its flower site states that Clever Leaves was the first Colombian company to hold both GACP and EU-GMP certification, in 2020. INVIMA's public register lists a valid good-manufacturing-practice certificate (resolution 2024055011, issued 29 November 2024 and valid until 26 December 2029) for non-sterile cannabis-derived phytotherapeutic products in liquid form made at the Tocancipá plant.

Press coverage published in August 2026 ranked Clever Leaves as Colombia's largest legal cannabis exporter, with about 63% of foreign sales in 2024 (roughly 4.08 tonnes). The group left Nasdaq in 2024, Bloomberg Línea reported, and earlier sold its Portuguese assets to focus on Colombia.

  • Who it serves: importers, pharmaceutical companies and distributors (B2B).
  • Products: dried flower and cannabinoid extracts and oral solutions.
  • Markets named by the company: Germany (via its investment in Cansativa), Israel and others.

Consumers in Colombia cannot buy directly from Clever Leaves; access to THC products runs through a prescription and a licensed pharmacy.
