About Centre Hospitalier de Luxembourg – Hospital Pharmacy

Hospital pharmacy of the Centre Hospitalier de Luxembourg, one of four places in the country that dispense medical cannabis on a secure prescription.

The pharmacy of the Centre Hospitalier de Luxembourg (CHL) in the capital's Belair district is one of only four places in Luxembourg where a patient can collect medical cannabis. The Health Directorate's patient leaflet lists it, together with the pharmacies of Hôpitaux Robert Schuman, CHEM and CHdN, as authorized to dispense the product.

It has the longest weekday window of the four: the leaflet gives Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 13:00 and 14:00 to 16:30, with a pharmacists' contact line. Patients bring the secure prescription written on a duplicate pad by a doctor who has completed the Health Directorate's certified training, and must present it within 60 days of its date. If the doctor splits the supply into several deliveries, every delivery for that prescription comes from the same pharmacy.

Since 1 January 2025 the program offers CBD-dominant and balanced THC/CBD flower, capped at 60 g per 28 days, plus three oil extracts, one of them THC-dominant. THC-dominant flower is no longer supplied. The pharmacy does not sell CBD shop products or anything without a prescription.

    • Eligible patients live in Luxembourg, are covered by the CNS or are Luxembourg nationals.
    • Conditions: severe chronic pain in serious illness, chemotherapy nausea, multiple sclerosis spasticity.
