About Cann-L
Lausanne's non-profit legal cannabis store for the Cann-L pilot trial, open since Dec 2023 to registered adult residents.
Cann-L is the City of Lausanne's cannabis pilot trial and the name of its non-profit sales point in the city center, reported to be at Rue du Maupas 7. The project is carried out with Addiction Suisse, the national addiction prevention and research center, and it offers a model in which a public-interest association, not a private company or a pharmacy, runs the shop.
The sales point opened on December 11, 2023. Participants must be adults who live in Lausanne and already use cannabis; pregnant and breastfeeding women and people with certain health problems are excluded, according to press reports at the launch. Cann-L said nearly 2,000 people were taking part, and its website stated that registrations were open, with new places released every week.
The range has grown since opening. At launch the shop offered three types of flower; the project now lists flower, resin, oils and e-liquids. Prices and purchase limits are not published on its homepage, and staff can explain both when you register.
For anyone looking for legal cannabis in Lausanne, Cann-L is the only authorised retail channel for non-medical use, and only for residents who enroll. Visitors and people living elsewhere in Vaud cannot buy. The general Swiss rules still apply outside the study: up to 10 grams is not punished, public use can bring a CHF 100 fine, and low-THC CBD products are sold freely.
