About Canify
Bavarian pharmaceutical company importing, processing and releasing medical cannabis for German pharmacies, with a GMP facility in Leipheim.
Canify is a Bavarian pharmaceutical company focused on medical cannabis. Its head office is at Gewerbestraße 11 in Herrsching am Ammersee, and its production facility in Leipheim occupies what the company describes as a converted NATO bunker. The business rests on two lines: Canify Pharma, which imports, packages and releases cannabis raw material for pharmacies and wholesalers in Germany, and a contract manufacturing service that handles supplier qualification, laboratory analysis and stability testing, import, GMP processing, batch release, storage and distribution for other companies.
Canify says it was one of the first pharmaceutical companies in the EU licensed for the unlimited import, packaging and market release of cannabis raw material, and that its facilities hold EU GMP and GACP certifications and operate to GDP standards. Because German law restricts advertising for prescription drugs, its product portfolio is shown only to healthcare professionals.
The company has also moved into patient-facing services. In a November 2024 interview, chief executive Sascha Mielcarek described Canify Clinics as a hybrid of video and in-person consultations and said the company had broken even in the third quarter of 2024. In September 2026 the former Canify Clinics web address redirected to Doncara, a telemedicine brand of Canify Health GmbH in Berlin whose site lists video consultations from €39 and follow-up prescriptions from €19.
Patients cannot order from Canify directly; its products reach them through pharmacies on prescription.
