About IvyMed Clinic
Adelaide medical clinic offering face-to-face alternative-medicine consults inside partner pharmacies in four suburbs, plus Vermont South (VIC) and telehealth.
IvyMed Clinic is an Adelaide medical practice whose doctors and nurse practitioners are authorised prescribers of alternative medicines, a phrase Australian clinics use because medicinal cannabis cannot be advertised. According to Secret Adelaide, IvyMed opened what it described as South Australia's first dedicated medicinal cannabis clinic in Pasadena in August 2022, then added a site in Prospect in May 2023. The corporate head office is at Suite 18, 132 Prospect Road, Prospect.
Consultations are held face to face in rooms inside partner pharmacies, which lets patients fill a script on the spot, and telehealth is also offered. South Australian sites in September 2026 were Prospect (Star Discount Chemist, Northpark), Norwood (Eastside Compounding Pharmacy), Pasadena (Star Discount Chemist) and Salisbury (Salisbury Discount Pharmacy); Old Reynella was marked unavailable. A Victorian clinic operates inside Atara Compounding Pharmacy in Vermont South.
- Initial consultation: A$160, or A$75.10 out of pocket after the Medicare rebate for eligible patients; 20 to 30 minutes.
- Follow-up: A$85, or A$41.10 after the rebate.
- Telehealth, initial or follow-up: A$99, with no Medicare rebate.
New patients register online, and the clinic asks for a GP referral or health summary, which it can request on the patient's behalf, before booking. Medicare rebates make in-person visits cheaper than telehealth for eligible patients, which is unusual in this market. We could not find a Trustpilot page or another readable review source for IvyMed, so no rating is shown.
