Summary
While investigating a complaint on October 20, 2023, Liquor and Cannabis Board vapor-unit officers found items containing THC and synthetic THC at Trichome, a Seattle tobacco and vapor retailer licensed only as a cigarette, tobacco and vapor retailer. They saw locked refrigerators, a scale, baggies and packaged edibles labeled by weight and strain, and obtained a search warrant. A second warrant executed on November 2, 2023 at LCB headquarters covered the locked refrigerators and turned up dozens of edible packages and other possible controlled substances, which went to the state crime lab. The LCB said criminal charges would be recommended if tests confirmed illegal substances.
