Summary

High Desert Equity Partners, Inc., the licensee of the Bend, Oregon retailer The Local Market, settled OLCC charges of failing to disclose ownership interests. The Notice alleged that from about July 2021 to April 2023 two other individuals had an ownership interest and were running the business, including ordering product, paying invoices, hiring and managing payroll, without being disclosed, and that a licensee told an OLCC specialist in March 2023 that one of them was only the landlord. Staff had proposed license cancellation. Under the settlement the licensee must surrender the license when a sale completes or by March 14, 2024, accept a letter of reprimand, and not sell to the named parties.
