Summary
The Ohio Division of Cannabis Control issued Product Alert 2025-01 on April 29, 2025 for one lot of Strawberry Banana Local Edibles Ohio cannabis-infused gummies made by the processor Farmaceutical RX, LLC. The Division said the processor used “edible glitter” that was not disclosed on the label or in the product item registration in the state tracking system.
The processor also could not show the ingredient came from a licensed and regulated source. The Division stated that the ingredient does not reasonably constitute a health hazard, which is why it chose a product alert rather than a recall. The gummies were sold between February 18 and March 12, 2025 at a list of dispensaries named in the notice, and the processor pulled the affected product from shelves.
Patients and consumers were advised to refrain from consuming the product and to discard it or return it for a refund.
